Here are some things you don't know about me because, well, I probably never took the time to tell you.
1. I am a hairstylist and a bank teller.
2. I am engaged to a wonderful man named Dave, who I met two summers ago. He is the love of my life, and I still can't believe he is mine (well, almost. We're getting married May 11th 2012! Updates to follow!)
3. I have one little boy Zachary, who is turning three in April and is the most amazing little boy in the world. Seriously.
4. I grew up unchurched, and became a Christian 2 1/2 years ago after my son was born. I'll tell you the whole story sometime.
5. I love big earrings, babies, animals, long hair, dresses, sweets, sunsets, rainy days, watching movies on rainy days, swinging on swingsets, organizing (you wouldn't believe that if you saw my house...), my couples group, growing friendships, reading, writing, and cooking.
6. I am passionate about God, music, poetry, loving right, playing fair, choosing battles, listening well, sacrificing important things for more important things, encouraging the underdog, worship, growing with others, growing individually, and believing in and being a part of something much bigger than myself.
7. I am addicted to pinterest. It's a problem.
8. I am a worrywart. It runs in my genes. I'm working on it.
9. I have a roommate who puts up with my messes and Zach's tantrums. She is awesome. (Sorry Kristen!)
10. I laugh at basically everything. Especially in inappropriate situations. And especially if it will embarrass me.
11. I am a very unassuming person by nature, and really try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt.
12. My name is Lindsay, and I am a choco-holic.
13. I'm trying really hard to get into working out. Dave is awesome at it, and we just got a gym membership. I'll keep you updated.
14. The name of this blog is inspired by one of my favorite quotes by one of my favorite poets about whom one of my favorite movies was made:
"I almost wish we were butterflies and liv'd but three summer days... three such days with you I could fill with more delight than fifty common years could ever contain..."
I am so in love with this quote because it is wrapped around the idea of love and the joy it brings to life... how no matter how long you live, love has the richness and power to live an entire lifetime of delight in such a short amount of time. I truly believe that. I hope to make this belief palpable through this blog.
That's all for now~ until next time!
Lindsay
